Pachabo results At the County Teams Competition, the Aherne Team (Tracy, Mark, Steve and Joanne) defeated the Cutler Team (Paul, Colin, Elisabeth and Tony) on a split tie. Again, like the teams the month previously this was a great event, with good food and camaraderie, a big thank you to all involved in making it so. With the unavailability, of Steve and Joanne, the remaining three pairs of these top two teams shall represent the county, in the national county teams final, for the Pachabo Cup, This was played face-to-face in Milton Keynes on the weekend of 14/15th June. |

Midlands Counties Congress 9 high event. The concept adopted by the Midlands early in lockdown has proved popular. Pairs should have NGS grades which average at most 9 (if you have NGS as percentages then the max is 106, which could be 9+9 or 8+10 etc). |

Midlands County Bowl Usually, the runners-up for County Teams Competition, are asked to represent the county, along with the winners of the League at the Midlands County Bowl. This is to be held (it's on rotation) this year at Gloucester (Cheltenham) on Sunday 29th June. It seems logical then, that with the runners-up playing the Pachabo, that place should be offered to the 3rd place team (Seymour). They however, having won the league have already qualified as of right. The runners-up in the league are currently being sounded out for their availability to represent the county in the remaining place. |
