FRIDAY EVENING UPDATE

The Friday evening sessions will remain suspended for the time being due to insufficient numbers. 

In the meantime, if any members wish to run a Friday evening session, they can arrange it between themselves and still use the club premises when required.

The Friday afternoon sessions will continue to run.

FORTHCOMING CLUB EVENTS

The Championship Pivot Teams is a two session event which will be held on Mondays 12th & 19th May. A maximum of two substitutes are allowed for the second session.

 

The Handicap Pairs (Shirley Wimbles Trophy) will be held on Monday 9th June.

The County will be holding its Swiss Pairs Event at Dunholme on Sunday 18th May 2025.

 

Two "Beyond the Basics" Seminars will be held at Louth on Saturdays 17th & 24th May.

Only seven pairs competed in this two week event, which was won convincingly by Pete Stackhouse & Glynn Elwick. The remaining six pairs were quite evenly matched as shown by the scores. Well Done Pete & Glynn!

  INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Seventeen players competed for the Individual Championship on Sunday 23rd March. A tightly run competition of fifteen 2 board rounds won convincingly by Helen Clapham, hotly pursued by Margaret McLeod. Well Done Helen!

1ST PLACE - Mike Llewellyn, Megan Williams, Keith Stewart & Brigid Hughes

This was a two session event. Eight teams of four played in the qualifier, which consisted of an all play all movement of 7 rounds of three boards.  Winners of the qualifier and the D and A Brown Trophy were the Scunthorpe team of Mike Llewellyn, Megan Williams, Keith Stewart and Brigid Hughes. Well Done. Unfortunately they slipped to third place in the Final.
