LCBA(CIO) 1ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
TUESDAY 17TH JUNE 7PM VIA GOOGLE MEET
LCBA’s first AGM as a charity will be held online at 7pm on Tuesday 17th June via Google Meet. The voting members of the charity are its Trustees and the nominated representatives from each of its affiliated clubs. Any member of an affiliated club is able to attend and speak at the AGM, but only the Trustees and nominated club representatives are able to vote or formally propose and second resolutions. You are very welcome to attend the AGM, the more people who take an interest in the county, the better. If you do wish to attend, please email the LCBA secretary, John Brearley at jmbrearley1611@outlook.com.
If you also wish to have a resolution considered by the AGM or stand as an Officer or Trustee of LCBA, then please contact John by Tuesday 20th May.

LOTL 2nd Season May to Aug 2025 |
The fixtures for the 2nd LOTL season of 2025 are now available via the links below.
There are two divisions of 7 teams. The first fixtures are on 29th May 2025.

Madeleine Berney 4 May 2025 |
 There were 26 pairs at the annual Madeleine Berney held at Brierfield on 4 May 2025. Congrats to the winners B Irlam & F Shiers, with 2nd B Loveridge & N Sutcliffe, 3rd - J Smith & J Pye, A Petrie & R Bentley. J & S Dootson finished 5th and won the non-Expert prize The event was 6 x 6 board rounds running from 11:30 to 4:30 which seemed a popular format. Thanks to Stuart Davies the TD.

Lancashire v Essex Jack High Friendly 29 March 2025 |
The inaugural friendly match against Essex was held on 29th March 2025 on RealBridge with four Jack High pairs on either side. In a close match, Essex won by 8 Imps. Full results at Essex Results
The Lancashire team was K Broadbent/S Bentley, E Fewster/L Hall, D Fairweather/L Hitchen, I Edwards/H Dent. Kenny Broadbent/Stephen Bentley topped the Ximps by a big margin. We hope this will become an annual event.

LCBA Teams of 4 16th March 2025 |
The LCBA Teams of 4 was held as a one day event this year at Bolton Bridge Club on Sunday 16th March 2025 at Bolton Bridge Club starting at 11am.The event is a qualifier for the EBU's Pachabo Cup competition. The winners were Jeff Smith/Andrew Petrie, Mike Nicholson/Rod Greenhalgh. Second were Jeff/Ann Wilkins, Linda Smith/Charlie Colson. Seven teams took part.

Manchester GP Swiss Pairs 1st March 2025 |
The Manchester Green Point Swiss Pairs was held at Altrincham on Saturday 1st March. 34 pairs entered. With one round to go there were six or seven pairs who could win overall if they won their last match well. Well done to Michael Fay and Sue Woodcock who triumphed just ahead of David Sarabowski and Andy Brocklehurst with Alan Mould and Rodney Lighton third. The event was ably run by Stuart Davies. LCBA Club Teams of 8 16th February 2025 |
The inter club teams of eight competition was held on Sunday 16th February at Bolton Bridge Club. Seven teams took part with the winners Southport followed by Bolton A. Southport will represent Lancashire in the Regional Teams of 8 Final on 10th May 2025. See full details in results section.

Chester Congress 25/26 January 2025 |
This popular event took place at Deva Bridge Club on 25th-26th January. In the pairs on Saturday 28 pairs played with a qualifier and a 14 pair final. Jackie Pye and John Holland finished 2nd in the final, followed by Bob Loveridge and Nick Sutcliffe. The multiple teams event had 10 teams entering on the Sunday. It was won by Alan Mould, John Hassett, John Holland and Jackie Pye. Second were Bob Loveridge, Nick Sutcliffe, Andrew Lum & David Costich.
