Opportunity for newer and less experienced players to take part in a gentle but competitive session at the Club House at Lion Works, Sidley Road, BN22 7HB. Start play at 11.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. Doors open at 10.30 a.m.
The session is expected to comprise a maximum of 20 boards, plus lunch, tea /coffee and cakes (home-made ones!) Those who might have visited our Wish Road premises up to last year will be amazed at the facilities that we have at Lion Works, with spanking brand new kitchen, so that our lunch promises more than sandwiches! We have a lift for disabled folk (and parking space on-site for you). Ample local on-street parking or 2 car parks a short stroll away for anyone not in need of the disabled facilities. And if you want a stroll along the prom before or afterwards, it's just, dependent on your walking speed, between 2 - 4 minutes away.
At session end, there will be the opportunity to discuss a few tricky hands to find out how you might have done things differently. The great thing about this game is that people with experience are only too delighted to be able to pass on their knowledge to you and engage you in the "how?" and "why?" of a different choice of bidding.
